Adi Shankaracharya's Visit
- The Sri Rama Temple at Khimsar preserves a sacred atmosphere of devotion associated with ancient worship traditions of the region.
- Alongside the temple is an Anjaneya shrine where two sacred Padukas are preserved, one of which bears a distinctly worn toe impression without toe-rings — traditionally understood in local Śāstric and oral traditions to be associated with Adi Shankaracharya and his presence at the kṣetra.
The above findings are based on local recitations and living traditions, as well as inscriptions and markers observed at the site, supported by available historical references, certain scientific observations, and guidance from the Shastras.
