Adi Shankaracharya's Visit
A Hanuman temple situated on the hill (Bandarkoot) above the main shrine is traditionally associated with Adi Shankaracharya's visit and blessings. Along with the Bala Ashtabhuja Mandir, these shrines form an important sacred complex, preserving local memories of the Adi Shankaracharya's presence and the enduring worship traditions of the region.
The above findings are based on local recitations and living traditions, as well as inscriptions and markers observed at the site, supported by available historical references, certain scientific observations, and guidance from the Shastras.
