Saptakoteshwar and Lakshminarayan Temples

According to Śāstric indications and long-standing local recitations, Bhagavatpāda Ādi Śaṅkarācārya delivered profound Pravachanas at a site situated behind the Saptakoteshwar Temple—an area that has undergone several physical transformations over the centuries.
Furthermore, while a set of sacred Padukas (belong to the Arvalem Caves) currently in the custody of a local household is attributed by some to various sages, there is a firm local conviction that these are the Padukas of Adi Shankaracharya, left behind as a permanent mark of the visit in this region.
