Hanuman Mandir - Neeracha

The Hanuman Mandir at Neeracha, located in the Beri region of present-day near in Jhajjar district, is a locally venerated Hanuman kṣetra situated amidst the historic rural-sacred landscape of the region. The temple is centered around a revered Hanuman vigraha worshipped and regarded by local devotees as a jāgr̥ta murti embodying kṣetra-rakṣaṇa — the protective guardianship of the surrounding settlements. The shrine continues to function as a living center of devotion, drawing pilgrims from nearby villages and sustaining enduring currents of bhakti, oral tradition, and temple worship across generations.
Tradition holds that Adi Shankaracharya visited this kṣetra and sanctified the region through the consecration of an Anjaneya vigraha, a sacred presence that, though no longer visible today, continues to live in the devotional memory and oral traditions of the local community.
